The People with the Grow How

Grovida Lime Sulphur is the most commonly used Insecticide/Miticide/Fungicide over the rose pruning time.  It should be used immediately after pruning your roses and applied at very high concentrations (120ml/1Litre of water).  Lime Sulphur will kill off any over wintering pests including scale and mites, and it destroys surface and root fungal infections too.

Being applied to roses in this high concentration, it will burn off any residual foliage, but please don’t panic. This simply forces the roses into a mild form of dormancy which they need in Natal to better simulate their natural lifecycle.  It helps to produce an increase in flower yields in the coming season.  This treatment fits with the old school rose care methodology, but it works very well.
