Grovida was established in 1980 by Vincent Lourenco Snr, out of a passion for gardening.  Grovida has become a household name in KZN – distributing top quality products to the home gardener, the horticultural, agricultural and Pest Control markets.

Grovida is now in its second generation management. The spouse team of Vincent Lourenco and Jenny Lourenco rely on their personal expertise in the effective management of the business. Vincent is a visionary and strategist and Jenny focuses on implementation and execution. 

They are supported by the retail manager Andrew Knight and his team based in-store at 590 Riverside Road, Umgeni Park and Ulanda Abraham, the wholesale manageress based at 91 Marseilles Crescent, Briardene. Grovida has just recently launched our online sales platform, reinventing and recreating our presence in the digital world. 

The competent and efficient team of staff have been part of the family business for many years. it is for this reason the service delivery and expertise is seamless at point of contact. 

Grovida has its own branded range of garden care products, consisting of a range of Insecticides, Herbicides, Pesticides and Fungicides including a complete range of granular fertilisers and an organic range. Ironically Grovida initially started with just three products namely: Compost, Potting soil and Kraal manure.

Grovida has extended their product range by importing Millet, their own Garden Gro Range of Tools, Sprayers, Coir and Pet Products.
